Observations

I'm sharing my thoughts with you about travel, food, photography, life and all those connections.  Nothing profound, just what I've observed after these years of travel and living.

  • Ever wonder what the rest of the world is like? Travel...then eat, drink and talk with the locals. Turns out we're really all pretty much the same inside, with different histories. As a friend of mine once said, "The similarities are much more striking than the differences".

    • navigating our way through road construction in Atlanta.) 😖

    • Traveling through France and Italy made me realize again how precious everyday life is. Being with friends, old or new, beats a palace any day! I saw it in the locals and I saw it in me.

    • I did not grow up with digital technology. I have adapted, but my brain has to translate tech talk into a pattern of thinking I can relate to. Some days I am my own hero, some days…not so much.

    • Aging is a challenge at any age. It takes you down an unfamiliar road. Traveling helps me see that the same road is being traveled throughout the world. Ever the same, always changing.

    • I have considered myself sort of a renaissance woman, but maybe I have taken on too much. I’m retired, and I like that. But I am involved in many diverse activities-yoga and fitness, blogging, photography, cooking, board president of a non-profit, voter registration, traveling and everyday life. I’m a retired renaissance woman. I may have been working my whole life to work in my retirement. It’s all good.🤓
